| The OEM-MIFARE Reader Board is a complete Mifare 1k, 4k and Ultralight reader system including PCB antenna, LEDs and MAX202 for RS232 communication. This board is the RWD-MIFARE module design laid out inside a PCB track antenna and it functions in exactly the same way as the module with an antenna fitted. The design incorporates 5-volt supply filtering to ensure optimum performance, antenna-trimming capacitor to adjust tuning for different environments and has several connector options with all the control signals, TTL level serial and +/- 12-volt RS232 signals available. For many applications this embedded solution with all the components, LEDs, antenna and communication interfaces on a two-layer PCB will be the lowest cost solution possible. The OEM-MIFARE board is also available as a complete Reference design, with schematic, PCB layout Gerber files and Bill-of-Materials. For this Chip Set solution, the customer just buys the pre-programmed microcontroller and "copies" the design (full design pack with sample pre-progranmmed microcontrollers provided). applications and use the spare I/O pins for auxiliary data outputs in different protocols.
New Version The RWD-MIFARE-LP (Low-power) version has an additional "BEEP" output and auxiliary
outputs for automatic serial/Wiegand data. This version uses dynamic polling and sleep mode
techniques to achieve an average power consumption of less than 100uA (micro Amps) even
