Supported Transponders – Philips Hitag 2

Hitag 2 transponders

125 kHz, 256 bit (32 byte) read/write passive RFID transponder, of which 16 bytes are available for user storage.

Memory is organised as 4-byte Pages. Page 0 is a factory programmed 4-byte unique serial number (UID).

Hitag 2 uses a dual PASSWORD authentication system to allow access to it’s memory. Dual 32 bit and 24 bit Passwords are stored on the tag and corresponding Passwords are stored in the Reader.

Full access to the tag is only possible if these Passwords are correct, making Hitag 2 a very secure tag type.
